On Wednesday the Hungarian Dragon Championship, the tune-up event for the Europeans started in Balaton. After two races in a tricky wind, Monaco 2 with Jens Rathsack at the helm is leading.

31 boats checked in in Balatonfüredi Yacht Club in the morning. After some measurement checks with class doyen Günter Ahlers about 100 sailor listened to the traditional Hungarian National Anthem and some greeting words from club's director István Böröcz and Vilmos Naray, Chairman of the Hungarian Dragon Association.

At 1 pm PRO Péter Farkas sent the boats onto the water. In a light and shifty wind of some 5 to 7 knots two races could be finished, one should have been abandoned because of a major shift. Some storms were wandering around the lake and made sailing very tricky.

However, MON 2 and Jens ruled the day. They made a start to finish victory at the first race and in the second race came as third into the finish.

On Thursday the start is planned for 10.00 am, at least three races should be sailed, if wind God will be with us.
