Tiller needed (or plans to make my own. Someone must have original plans... I am looking for a modern tiller with or with out extension.
My boat comes equipped with a vintage carved wooden Dragons-head which I would like to switch out for a modern tiller. It has been painted white and is for sale once I figure out its worth. Offers? Ideas?
Looking forward to getting my boat in the water.
Thanks for any help or information.

Re: Tiller needed (or plans to make my own)
I am using the tiller for a Catalina 27. These can be acquired from West Marine or Catalina (on-line supply) and are available for under $100 (US). It is a solid tiller and ends up about the right height. CAN 121 Vancouver, Canada

Thank you. I will certainly consider it.

A Comment from Gunter Ahlers:
On those older Dragons they are normally made from Teak. On the aft end they have to fit the fitting on the rudderstock head, and on the other hand it has to fit nicely in to his hand. It comes elegantly curved. The best thing is to use the old one as a sample and produce the new one like it but without all the carvings.
