New venue and date for Dragon Grand Prix Germany 2013

The German Dragon Association is delighted and honoured to be hosting the Dragon Grand Prix Germany 2013 as a Grade 1 event of the International World Ranking list. The winning team will be awarded with the HM Queen Silvia Sailing Trophy.

The German Dragon Association decided to change the venue after three successful years of cooperation at Weiße Wiek/Boltenhagen. The Dragon Grand Prix Germany 2013 will take place at the seaside resort Kühlungsborn/Baltic Sea from June 12th to June 16th 2013. Responsible for the water organization is the “Segelclub Kühlungborn”, which has already successfully carried out a German and North German Championship during the last two years. With an open and unrestricted sailing area in the Baltic Sea, short distance to the race area and perfect logistical infrastructure Kühlungsborn offers also the optimal conditions for the dragon sailors from all over the world. Moreover, Kühlungsborn is the perfect combination of regatta and holiday venue.

The World CHILDHOOD Foundation, founded by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, is once again the charity partner of the dragon class for the 9th consecutive time. The extremely successful CHILDHOOD race will again take place according to the motto: “Top class sailing for children in need”.

The Dragon Grand Prix team is ready and waiting to help you plan your trip and ensure your regatta runs as smoothly as possible. In the next few days we are going to to provide all the information you might need for planning through our www-site http://www.dragon-grand-prix.de but if you have any questions or need further information please don't hesitate to contact me personally on mlibor@mal-events.de
We look forward to welcoming the Dragon Grand Prix competitors in Kühlungsborn from June 12th to June 16th 2013.
