Dear Dragon Class Lovers!

Here is some great news for you: Inspired by and devoted to the 80th Anniversary of the Dragon Class is a limited edition of classic sailing boats called the “Dragon-2009”. Custom made using the latest technology and undertaking the project is the New Zealand based company, “ARIES PACIFIC Ltd”..

The hull of such anniversary yacht is assembled manually, which takes 6500 hours of highly skilled craftsmen’s labour. The drawings and templates used are given courtesy of the International Dragon Association. We had to rediscover the secrets of this age old craftsmanship. The manual assembly of the hulls is carried out using WEST SYSTEM technology. The timber used is solid quality wood – oak for frames and beams, mahogany for planking and deck structure, teak for the deck. Layout of the deck, as well as the design of many other details can be customised according to the customer’s preferences.
