Cascais 2018-19 Winter Series are up and going...
13 Nov 2018
The Portuguese Dragons raced over the 9-11th Nov weekend in the first of this season's Winter Series.
6 races were held with a nice southerly wind ranging from 8 to 16 knots and some swell, good conditions to train trimming and keeping the dragon speed up and Mario Quina, chairman of the Portuguese Dragon Association, came first.
Several international Dragons have indicated their plans to come down to Cascais as the Series develops, namely after returning from the Australian Worlds, in a progressive buildup of the Dragon fleet sailing in Cascais to culminate in the 24th King Juan Carlos Cup 1-4th May, a 2019 Grade 1 IDA event.
The next series will be held 7-9th Dec followed by a 3rd Series 15-17th February and all Dragon sailors are warmly invited to come sail and join the fun in Cascais.
