Swiss National Secretary retires after more than 20 years in office

Postby Webmaster » Thu Sep 28, 2017 12:55 pm

Lotti Schmid is widely known in the Dragon world, having served as Secretary to the Swiss Dragon fleet since the early ‘90s. During that time, anyone who came across her could not fail to be impressed by her unfailing friendliness, generosity and efficiency. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She has been described by many as ‘a pearl’.

It is the Dragon world’s loss that she has decided to retire as Secretary, and she has gone out on a high note. She and her team at Lake Thun, led by Swiss Vice President Garlef Baum, provided a perfect organisation for the 2017 Europeans in August.

It has been a wonderful privilege to have worked with Lotti in the Dragon class. She embodies everything that is to be found in the perfect national secretary - courteous, responsive and always helpful.

We shall miss her, although she will still be around to manage the production of the combined German/Swiss/Austrian/Hungarian annual magazine.

We wish her and Dieter all the best.

The new Swiss Secretary is Ramon Winterberg and some of you will get a chance to meet him at the Gold Cup & AGM in October.
